Hello friends! Christmas time is exciting, festive and unifying. We definitely have Someone to celebrate, don't we? I haven't forgotten about keeping this blog current, so here's a little update amidst all the hoopla of the Holidays!
No major change in Financial Support has taken place, but many are praying. The changes prayer brings are precious and just as necessary (if not more so) than financial changes. I praise God for His timing and sustaining grace, come what may.
Lately my family has been drawing closer together, and not just because of the holidays! We decided to fast and pray for the salvation of my older brother. What "legitimate pleasure" did we give up? The "idiot box", "boob tube", yes, my friends, we unplugged our TV. It's spot was perfect for our Nativity set. Where we used to have DVD's, we're storing books. The VCR/DVD player is our radio's new perch. What filled out this experience was the devotional we began together. Our favorite way to end out study time is by "rapid fire" prayers for my brother. The three of us take turns praying a sentence or two. We "go in a circle" 4 or five times.
An Example:
Mom:
Lord, bless my son with good friends that will be a good influence on his life.
Dad:
I pray that one day he will see You and love You more than the things of this world.
Me:
God, help my brother to let go of his past and not let it direct his future.
Mom (again):
Father, I pray he would have dreams that bring questions about You to his mind.
(Round and Round, we come up with short and new requests as we take turns)
New family prayer habits, Joining in devotions, and no TV on....ever? It's been pretty amazing!
In short, not yet being in Austria has allowed me to witness and participate in this unprecedented change in my family, but I am eager to walk out the call to missions.
Why don't I go now? Finances. You probably knew that answer! Here's where I'm at:

Please join me in prayer as I continue to make contact with churches, friends and family. I believe God puts opportunities to partner financially "on people's hearts". Pray that I will find these people soon! :) And that He would bless the one's I've already found!!!

This is really exciting, I wish I were home for this! But what is cool...Is that Thai and I have been doing random small group prayer times with people in the prayer room to pray for Chuy and it is soooo cool to have them praying for him!!!
